Summary
Terra Phoenix Sdn. Bhd. is a unique company that enhance sustainability by leveraging IoT solutions to add value to data. Our corporate DNA encompasses a range of offerings, from basic IoT systems in a ToG (business-to-government) model to AI-based solutions in a ToB (business-to-business) model. We have been granted patents for our iCONNECT, iOWT, IoT, and AI technologies in both the United States and China, we position ourselves at the forefront of the industry. Our unique approach and proven track record make us a trusted partner for organizations seeking to improve their sustainability and drive innovation through data-driven solutions.
Problem
Terra Phoenix is dedicated to address the challenges and gaps in the current 5G landscape and provide users with a more innovative, cost-effective, and secure experience in their daily lives. Our solution addresses several key pain points in the industry, including the potential radiation safety concerns of millimeter wave technology, the limited coverage of 5G networks and the high cost of installation and equipment, as well as the potential long-term health risks posed by high levels of background energy and focused radiation. Additionally, 5G technology has a high power demand that can lead to increased emissions. Terra Phoenix's innovative solution addresses these issues and more, providing users with a safer, more seamless connection that is accessible and affordable.
Solution
Terra Phoenix's iCONNECT system utilizes a transceiver that uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for data transmission. LED technology is known for its ability to process data without distortion, making it an ideal candidate for the iCONNECT transceiver. The LED can replicate and transmit data through light while simultaneously providing illumination, allowing for both communication and lighting to occur simultaneously. This device is known as the iCONNECT Li-Fi Transceiver.
The iCONNECT system also includes a Dongle that uses photodiode technology to capture and extract data from the transceiver's light signal. The Dongle processes this information to recover the transmitted data. Since both Li-Fi and Wi-Fi can have limitations when it comes to maintaining constant connectivity, the hybrid configuration of the iCONNECT system allows for horizontal and vertical handover to suit any scenario and maintain a consistent connection. This device is known as the iCONNECT Li-Fi Dongle.
Product
In addition to the transceiver and dongle, Terra Phoenix is developing a range of products to replace or enhance existing technologies that utilize 5G networking. These products include the iCONNECT Li-Fi Dongle, iCONNECT Li-Fi Transceiver, iCONNECT Smart Li-Fi Remote Control, iCONNECT Li-Fi Hotspot, and iCONNECT TPConet - the Optical Network Unit (ONU).
In addition to offering innovative technology, Terra Phoenix's Li-Fi system is designed to be a green product that is compliant with the Green Office Program. This makes it highly attractive to business clients in the ESG-focused market. We also provide a range of services to support our customers, including infrastructure cabling, contracting and design works, installation, and fabrication, as well as maintenance services.
Terra Phoenix's IP development is divided into three parts: the core IP that is fully owned by TPSB and other IP that is co-owned by TPSB and CREST, the housing or building application IP that is tailored to specific country codes of practice or buildings, and trademarks or copyrights. Each part is developed independently, and agreements may be signed among sister marketing companies and TPSB to allow for the use of IP in certain countries. Our Li-Fi system is offered to business clients as a service and can be integrated into a range of applications, including public areas, offices, hotels, hospitals, and other spaces that require constant illumination. The combination of these installations and infrastructure can provide a better overall internet experience for customers.
Traction & Projection
The following table is Terra Phoenix's financial forecast 1 year upon successful completion of the ECF campaign;
Terra Phoenix has identified three key market potentials that support our projections for growth. These include:
The market capacity for our Li-Fi system is 10 times our targeted revenue in year 5, based on the Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM). This is because our Li-Fi system will be positioned as a green solution for 5G that complements the Green Office Program, and global markets are offering incentives for green technology.
The premium market segment is a strong opportunity for our Li-Fi system, as we can market it to international exhibition centers, 5-star hotels, and office buildings.
Our team and resources are capable of driving growth, based on the success of TPSB's sister company in China, which serves a similar customer base in the building services industry. We plan to replicate this success by marketing our Li-Fi system to the same client base in Malaysia and globally, leveraging the same marketing expert who has driven RMB 30 mil sales for Terra Phoenix in China, in 2022.
As an example of the potential market for our Li-Fi system, consider an exhibition center in Kuala Lumpur. By adopting iCONNECT Li-Fi, the organizer could save 20% on connectivity costs while offering state-of-the-art technology, potentially allowing them to reduce rental charges to customers. In the case of 5-star hotels, implementing Li-Fi technology could enhance the overall visitor experience and reduce the cost of 5G implementation, as only LED bulb conversion would be required.
iCONNECT's Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) Projection;
Milestone | Description | Completion Date |
Component Design | Developing a suitable lens, which has proper condenser performance and illuminance and can be used in a Hybrid VLC system for indoor wireless connectivity | Q1 of 2023 |
Critical Technique | Realize effective communication within 3 meters so that Li-Fi can be properly used indoors | Q2 of 2023 |
Technology Convergence | Convergence with 5G, playing a full role as a supplement to 5G, making wireless connectivity available everywhere | Q4 of 2023 |
Customers
Terra Phoenix's customer base includes individuals and organizations in need of a more secure and reliable internet connection, particularly in areas with poor 5G coverage or in environments where radiation-free internet is a priority, such as hospitals. Our technology is a viable alternative to traditional Wi-Fi, offering faster speeds, lower costs, and a safer, cleaner connection. With a broad bandwidth of nearly 10,000 times that of Wi-Fi, our visible light communication system is ideal for use in a range of public spaces, including museums, exhibition and convention centers, hotels, shopping centers, airports, offices, residential and apartment buildings, libraries, and other areas.
As industry 4.0 continues to advance and companies seek to optimize their operations and assets, Terra Phoenix plans to expand its customer base through a variety of strategies, including collaboration on projects and presentations, participation in conferences and technology exhibitions, outreach to hospital sectors and hotel chains, and the use of word-of-mouth referrals and advertising. We also plan to develop partnerships and co-creation opportunities to further promote our technology and services.

Funding
The forecast of RM10mil in revenue for 2023 is based on our projection of sales for the iCONNECT LiFi system. As a service provider, TPSB is offering the iCONNECT LiFi system as a package that includes product deployment and telecommunication maintenance. In order to achieve success, we need to consider both market capacity and the ability of our team to secure contracts. Our presence in China has demonstrated both a strong demand for our products and services, as well as the capability of our team to manage and bring in contracts. For example, our audited accounts for 2020 and 2021 show a large potential market for iCONNECT based on market surveys and the capability of our team in China. In order to accelerate this process, we have agreed to a 2x pre-money valuation made by CREST in this equity crowdfunding exercise. We have also used our China subsidiary, iCYCLE, to demonstrate the existence of a similar customer base and the ability to secure contracts. Our iCONNECT LiFi system is currently in prototype production and will need to be commercialized for consumer use before it can be mass-produced and adopted. We will be using part of the funds raised through this fundraising to expedite this process and bring the product to market. This is outlined in our document on fund utilization plans. The valuation of RM45mil is based on our forecast, IP patent ownership, and comparison with comparable companies. As a company that was previously in the R&D stage, this valuation takes into account our current revenue, liabilities, and assets.
